I have found another wonderful house I would LOVE to get my hands on and renovate.
For the time being, I will have to just give it the ultimate virtual make-over.
Enjoy, Heidi
This Aussie beauty is in a small town called Edithburgh in South Australia.
There is a house behind it and then the Gulf St. Vincent.
Edithburgh has some pretty special point of interest.
I would LOVE to explore its coastline, but even more so, I would love to see first hand the very rare Leafy Sea Dragon in all its majesty in its coral forests and underwater grassland.
I wouldn't need a swimming pool since the town has one built into the shore.

Now you see why I fell in love with the town.
The house is a fixer upper no doubt, but I've tackled worse.
Here is what I see in my mind as I flip thru each room of the house.

I love the soft gray for the trim work. A new metal roof with signature Aussie bullnose veranda would do wonders for the exterior.
I would love to expose the rock of the rock wall and plant lots of roses.
(is that possible MOTH? Or should I have Jboy power wash it and just paint the whole thing?)

Once you walk thru the front doors of the entry hall, you'll feel right at home
with warm floors, walls and wood furniture.
You can never have too many beach baskets.

(I wish I knew the source cause I LOVE this room)
A casual comfy living room with linen slipcovered sofas and chairs plus blue and white paisley pillows, sisal rugs and ocean treasures to adorn the room.
Then we have 3 bedrooms.

A sailboat, a seashell and a couple of palm fronds
is enough to give this little bathroom that nautical flare.

I love my big claw footed tub, by my husband love a shower.
This set up makes us both happy.
It would have to have some demolition work done to the back and then rebuild a warm and welcoming open kitchen like this one, that shares it's space with the living and dining room areas.
A panty on the right side of the kitchen with a utility room on the back side that leads to the bath.
This is what you find when you walk out the back door from the kitchen or utility room.
A perfect place for dining alfresco with the balmy ocean breezes filling the air.

After taking evening walks on the beach, we can relax in the moon light and bistro lights or chandelier or fire in the outdoor fireplace or all the above.

I hope you enjoyed my Beach House Virtual Home Make-over.

Edithurgh is a great spot Heides, although I reckon the average age of the locals would be 85! A lot of the local farmers retire into the town, so I'm not sure how they'd cope with your youthful energy. The fishing is awesome & you'd only be a 2.5 hour drive from us.
Love Millie xx
Right now, I live in a 140 year old drug store in a town full of retired people. I guess that's how I roll. It would only be my weekend house anyway. You and MOTH are always welcome. You know my heart's in Clare growing lavender and honey. Thanks for the comment, it made my day.
Love ya, Heidi
You have beautiful taste in life. I live 1 hour from your dream home. Troubrige point is a special place for me. I love your photos.
