Adjusting my Sails.

This year seems like there has been a lot of sail adjusting going on in my life.
After finding out my husband did not get the job he had been promised for
the past 3.5 years and then deciding to go with plan B, which was migrating
to Australia only to find that he and I do not have the skills Australia desires
therefore a visa, is almost impossible to obtain and then last week my
father-in-law passes away.  This week was Valentines day and now I feel
myself catching a cold.  Need some comfort and some hope.
It helps to keep the tunes playing and running down the list of the things
I am grateful for.  Sorry to dump this on you, but there are three words
that helps, "Life Goes On".  "This too shall pass" is another good one, but
that has four words.  So that is where I have been and up to.  I will be posting
better, happy things in the future, I just had to get the ucky stuff out first.
Love, Heidi

Found on Pintrest, if you know the origin, please let me know.

I am sorry for the loss of your father in law, and of course your jobs too. I am sure that you have heard it all in terms of encouragement, and I will add mine is a challenge, and as that say that which does not hurt us only makes us stronger, when a door closes a window opens, and many more. I hope that you find what you are looking for in Australlia, and that both you and your husband find the perfect jobs to make you happy.

Have a great day, Elizabeth

Oh Heidi, it....does get better... eventually! I know!
I'm sorry your Australian dream has been dashed, we were looking forward to welcoming you both!
So I would suggest a lovely hot lemon and honey drink for the cold and I send you big hugs. Julienne xxx

My condolences on your loss. I know it seems like it's never going to take a turn, but take heart. It will.
As for the origin...this is what I do : I open another window :
then I go to the other window with the picture in it. Then I drag the picture to the address bar up top that says and it will open that window and you just put the photo there. That is the best way to find something's origin. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. Just a little info I thought you might like to know.

I love that quote, and I also love, "this too shall pass", because it's so true!

Hang in there!

Don't worry doll, this little bird has not given up hope.I'm about to file Adoption papers for the 3 of can start calling me Mum any time you'd like. We need to be creative in our ways to get you here. If this fails then playing the political asylum card may be next. Fleeing from the Tea Party should fulfill the political oppression criteria.

P.S. So sorry to hear the Jboy's sad news, the biggest of hugs to him.

I just found your blog Heidi. I am sorry to hear this. I know that it probably seems overwhelming. I do believe that when one door closes another opens. Cliche but true in my experience.

take care,

You guys are the best. I always put off letting you know the bad things that are going on in my life, because I want my blog to stay positive. But you have to take the bad with the good, this is the nature of things. I don't like pity parties, cause that never helps anyone, but positive encouragement and cyber hugs really help to reinforce the fact that it is not permanent and love is all around us. Thanks, Millie, I mean, Mum, for adopting us, that just made my day. I will never give up on my efforts to move to Oz,NEVER. Having a strong will got me in a lot of trouble when I was a child, but it has helped me get what I want in life, when it was the hard thing to do. I love you all, thanks again. Heidi
